Sustainable island houses on the Markermeer lake

Landal now has five sustainable island houses on a completely new piece of the Netherlands, The Marker Wadden. These cottages are energy-neutral, sustainably built and equipped with all the modern amenities. It is a great collaboration between Landal and Natuurmonumenten (Dutch nature conservation organisation) and all the proceeds from the rentals go to research into the development of this new area. Take a little break from civilization

These so-called bush camps are hidden amongst the greenery and surrounded by forest and water. When the silence falls over the forest at the end of the day, you can enjoy the peace of nature and almost feel like you are alone in the world for a little while. The IJsvogel, Braamsluiper and Wielewaal bush camps are equipped with a fire pit and oak benches. And although it seems as if you are going completely back to basics, there is a small, shared toilet block. Enjoy the peace and comfort!
