Biesbosch Twilight Excursion

When day turns to night, you can join the Sterrenwacht observatory team on a hike through the Biesbosch at NLDelta National Park. Peer into the darkness and observe how plants and animals awaken. If you are lucky, you might even spot a bat, tawny owl, or beaver.

Location
The Dordrechtse Sterrenwacht Mercurius observatory

This three-hour hike starts and ends at the Dordrechtse Sterrenwacht Mercurius observatory. A real Biesbosch guide will lead you into the nature reserve to admire the flora and fauna by starlight. At the end of the hike, you can join a tour of the observatory and see the night sky through the huge telescope. Can you spot any stars?

The excursion starts and ends at the Sterrenwacht Mercurius observatory on Baanhoekweg 75 in Dordrecht. The observatory is near the Stayokay Dordrecht hotel, so if you want to get to bed quickly after the hike, book a room here. You will awaken on the edge of the Biesbosch so you can hang on to the outdoor feeling a little longer.
