CANCELED - See and listen to tawny owls
The forests of the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park & Twente Reggedal are home to many beautiful animals. One such animal is the tawny owl.
In December, these birds start looking for a partner and it is the perfect time to go out with a forest ranger to see them. Or better yet, listen to them because tawny owls have their own special call for attracting the attention of potential mates. Along the way, the forest ranger from the Staatsbosbeheer (Forestry Commission) will tell you all about the owls’ habits and behavior.
You will be part of a group covering about 5 km through the dark forests. Wear sturdy walking shoes to navigate uneven dirt paths and clothing appropriate for the weather. Ready to spend a pleasant evening observing owl romance?
