Are you ready for an extraordinary experience in the nature of Wadden Sea, UNESCO World Heritage Site? Join the expedition called Oerol. For many years now, the island Terschelling has been transformed into one big stage in June every year. But Oerol is not just a festival, it is also a feeling. When you step off the boat onto the island, you’ll forget all about your daily worries and find yourself in a different world for a while.
From June 11 through 20, there are some seventy locations with music, dance and theater performances, spoken word, science and works of art throughout the island. The tidal landscape of Terschelling serves as a source of inspiration and backdrop. How can all of that be materialized in these unusual times? The organization is working hard to sort that out, as well as putting lots of energy into the overall program. Last year, the festival on Terschelling occurred online but it is sure to be held, with public, this year. Ticket sale won’t start until all plans have been completed to avoid disappointment.
