'Star of Bethlehem' sailing tour

An extraordinary star appeared in the East more than 2000 years ago. That star is now extinguished but there are billions of other stars that can be seen sparkling in the sky, if the weather allows it. On 24 December (Christmas Eve), you have the opportunity to count them during a special sailing tour on the eastern part of the Wadden Sea.

Date
24 December 2019
Time
18:00 - 22:00
Location
The harbor of Lauwersoog

With the crew of the clipper De Willem Jacob, you will seek out silence and darkness on the Wadden. There is much less light pollution in the middle of the Wadden Sea, so there is a much greater chance that you will be able to see the stars. Get busy and help keep the sails in the wind. Once the ship arrives at a quiet spot, a delicious dinner will be served in the welcoming hold around the fireplace. The tour ends around 22:00 in the harbor of Lauwersoog. Sailing through the dark, trusting on the light buoys and light houses, is an extraordinary experience.

Would you like to drop into bed as quickly as possible after the sailing tour and postpone your trip home? Book a Kampeerpot XL or hiking cabin at www.lauwersoog.nl or a room at one of the many hotels in the nearby university city of Groningen.
