Walk to the blooming heathland in the Kampina Nature Reserve
Every year in August, the Kampina Nature Reserve in the Van Gogh National Park turns a lovely shade of purple. Also called 'the purple splendour of the heath', it’s a wonderful experience that you really must see at least once! During the tour, you pass the most beautiful spots on the heath and your guide will tell you all about the plants and animals that live in the nature reserve. At the same time, you will learn more about the history of the Kampina and how people use the heath. Put on a pair of good walking shoes and enjoy this lovely summer experience!
This tour is mainly aimed at adults, but older children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
