Noorderzon Festival

Want to enrich your visit to the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site with a cultural celebration? Then check out Noorderzon's 10-day programme starting on 18 August. It’s one big summer celebration combined with an international arts festival where music, literature, modern dance, lectures and local performances alternate between Groningen’s city centre and the idyllic Noorderplantsoen as the central meeting place. Noorderzon received the European EFFE Award in 2016 as one of the most trend-setting European festivals as well as the provincial culture prize. So it’s the event for immersing yourself in various art movements and for getting to know Groningen a bit more.

Stories from around the world

Want to feel the grass under your feet at the Noorderplantsoen or raise your hands in the air at Podium de Raaf?
